I, Angela DeSantis, have a well-rounded background in the health care system. I have been an Occupational Therapist (OT) for 17 years.
I am a registered Authorizer for the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) to access Ontario government funding for mobility devices, such as walkers, wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and associated seating and backrests. I am a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner with the Commission on Health Care Certification.
I worked for several years as an Occupational Therapist assessing and treating clients in their homes via Veterans Affairs Canada, the Community Care Access Centre (i.e. home care), insurance companies and lawyers.
I also worked in the hospital as an Occupational Therapist completing discharge planning to send clients home safely.
